Classic Pine Nut Pesto
This classic pesto can be used hot or chilled, tossed with
pasta or spread on fresh Italian bread. Enjoy!
18 to 25 fresh Basil leaves - no stems
Flanigan Farms Pine Nuts
(walnuts can be substituted)
2 cloves fresh garlic, peeled
½ cup virgin olive oil, light
½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated.
Process fresh basil leaves, garlic and nuts in food processor until finely chopped.
With machine still running, pour in olive oil in a thin stream.
Add cheese and blend until smooth.
The pesto may be thinned with a little water if desired.
