For your holiday parties, here is something different and soooo delicious.

Not only that, it is easy make ahead and chill, ready to go at party time.

1 large or 2 small fresh Fuyu Persimmons
(or) 1 cup reconstituted Flanigan Farms Dried Organic Persimmons, chopped
2 8-ounce packages cream cheese, softened
1 cup Flanigan Farms Slivered Almonds, toasted
1 tablespoon curry powder
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon dry mustard
Toasted slivered almonds
Your favorite crackers


Instructions:

Remove top, but do not peel the persimmon, chop into 1-inch cubes

Or if using dried persimmons, let them stand in 1-cup water or

white grape juice for one hour, or until most of liquid is absorbed.

Process the persimmons, almonds, cream cheese, curry powder,

cinnamon and mustard in food processor until smooth, stopping to

scrape down sides.  Cover and chill 1 hour, then form into a round and

chill again until ready to serve.


At serving time cover with toasted almonds and garnish with parsley sprigs if desired.

Serve with your favorite crackers or toast points.
