Nuts 'N' Fruit Quick Bread
Makes 1 loaf
¾ cup sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder
½ tbsp salt
2 eggs
¾ cup orange juice
1 tbsp grated orange peel
1 tbsp baking soda
1 tbsp melted butter
1 6oz package
Flanigan Farms Nuts 'N' Fruit™
Stir together sugar, flour, baking powder and salt. Mix in Nuts 'N' Fruit. In a separate bowl, beat eggs; stir in remaining ingredients. Add dry ingredients to egg mixture and stir just until combined.
Turn into a greased or lined 9x5 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool, wrap and store in refrigerator.
Quick breads get their name because you don�t have to wait for them to rise as is necessary with yeast breads. They are also quick to disappear because they are so tasty.
Hint:
double the recipe, make two loaves, and store one in the freezer.
