Cheesy Pepita Porcupine

1  8 oz. package cream cheese

2.5 oz package Flanigan Farms Pepitas

 Salt to taste if desired

1/4 teaspoon Turmeric

1/4 teaspoon Chili powder

1 black olive and a sliver of tomato

Prepare pepitas as described on Page 3, if salt is desired.  With table knife, sculpt cream cheese into porcupine shape by cutting off corners and piling them on top, then sculpting to form the body with a low short, fat tail.  Sprinkle lightly with mixture of Turmeric and Chili powder. Insert Pepitas all over body of porcupine pointed end up to make the spines. On the short tail and on the snout, use smallest pepitas, placing them flat. Leave room for the eyes, which are cut, in circles from the black olive.  A little strip of tomato may be inserted for a tongue.

To serve, place on serving plate with the remaining pepitas and your choice of toast points or crackers.

If you had fun with this, try making an alligator, placing the pepitas flat and overlapping to make the scales.
