CHOCOLATE CHIP WALNUT BLONDIES 4 medium egg whites, slightly beaten 1 cup no-sugar-added applesauce 1/3 cup Canola oil ½ cup packed brown sugar 1½ cups granulated sugar 2 t vanilla extract 1½ cups unbleached all-purpose flour ¼ t salt ½ t baking powder 1 (12 oz) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips 1½ cups Flanigan Farms Chopped Walnuts Canola oil cooking spray
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Coat an 8x11 inch cake pan with cooking spray and set aside. In medium sized bowl, combine the first 6 ingredients (egg whites-vanilla). Mix with an electric mixer on high speed for 1-2 minutes. Combine the flour salt and baking powder in a separate bowl. Fold dry mixture into wet mixture. Add the chocolate chips and mix to evenly distribute. Pour batter into the sprayed pan and sprinkle the walnuts over the top to evenly cover. Bake for 35-40 minutes. Remove from oven and place on a cooling rack until completely cool. Cut into 1½” squares and enjoy.
