NUTS ‘N’ FRUIT™ QUICK BREAD Makes 1 loaf
¾ cup sugar 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 t baking powder ½ t salt 2 eggs ¾ cup orange juice 1 t grated orange peel 1 t baking soda 1 T melted butter 1 6oz package FLANIGAN FARMS NUTS ‘N’ FRUIT™
Stir together sugar, flour, baking powder and salt. Mix in Nuts ‘N’ Fruit™. In a separate bowl, beat eggs; stir in remaining ingredients. Add dry ingredients to egg mixture and stir just until combined.
Turn into a greased or lined 9x5 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool, wrap and store in refrigerator. |

Quick breads get their name because you don’t have to wait for them to rise as is necessary with yeast breads. They are also quick to disappear because they are so tasty. Hint: double the recipe, make two loaves, and store one in the freezer. |
