When asked how he thought of this terrific recipe, Doug Popwell III, age 11, said, "One day my mom made a sandwich using a round bread loaf and filled it with lunch meat.  I love Sloppy Joes, so I thought, why not do the same and just put the mixture in a loaf of bread instead of rolls.  The nuts add crunch and flavor.  My family thought I was so creative.  Now I make it a lot. Thank you."
